Chatsworth in Derbyshire was transformed into Pemberley, Lincolnshire’s Burghley House became Rosings and the Peak District & Derbyshire provided some of the movie’s most spectacular backdrops.

Shooting through the summer of 2004 was a delight.

It was like being plunged into a bucolic past and reminded us all of how beautiful a country England can be.

The attention to detail paid off and cast and crew felt themselves immersed in the story. Hard not to as dogs, ducks and geese wandered freely about the set both behind and in front of the camera.
